Terms of use

These terms cover oakkeep.app and everything the workshop makes.

The apps

hushvault, hushnet, andhushlab are proprietary software offered pay-what-you-want, including free, and are currently in active beta. You may use them for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial.

The browser tools

hushpdf and hushexif are free, browser-based tools that work on files on your own device. You may use them for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. Don't attempt to disrupt this site, scrape it abusively, or misrepresent it as your own service.

No warranty

Everything here is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. As beta software, expect rough edges — keep backups of anything important. Text extraction and text recognition are imperfect by nature; always verify output before relying on it for anything that matters. We are not liable for any loss arising from use of the apps, the tools, or this site.

Your work is never trapped: a hushvault vault is a plain folder of ordinary files, hushnet's history is a plain-text log, and a hushlab notebook is a plain markdown file — all readable without our software, even if something goes wrong with it.

Your content

Your files never reach us. We claim no rights over them and take no responsibility for their contents. You are responsible for having the right to store and process the documents you keep or convert.

Payment

Apps are sold pay-what-you-want through Gumroad, a third-party payment processor. Refund requests go through Gumroad's own policy.

Open source acknowledgement

Our software incorporates open-source components under MIT, Apache-2.0, and BSD licenses. hushvault includes PDFium (pdfium.googlesource.com); hushpdf's PDF parsing is powered by PDF.js, © Mozilla and contributors, used under the Apache License 2.0. Full attribution ships with each app.
